Fall Boat Building with Bobby Ives: October 15th, 22nd, 29th, & November 5th and 12th.

This class is open to all, beginning and advanced woodworkers. The class will introduce students to the fundamentals of traditional boat building. Daily lectures will be given in tool use, sharpening, boat design, and wood technology. The class together will construct a traditional 9 1/2 foot Monhegan Island skiff. Come spend October Saturdays learning from the founder of The Carpenter’s Boat Shop, Bobby Ives!
Details:
- Class tuition: $825
- The class will begin at 8:00am and end at 4:30pm each day.
- Please bring your own lunch.
- On campus lodging is available. On campus lodging includes a single room, shared bathroom and kitchen access. Boarders may arrive the evening before the class begins and depart the day after the class ends. Lodging cost is $75 per person, per night. Contact [email protected] to make arrangements for lodging.
- $100 deposit required to register for a class. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the start of class.
- Participants are also welcome to pay in full at the time of registration.
