Build Your Own Oars, May 6- 7 & May 13-14, 2023

Build your own set of custom oars over two weekends in this introductory woodworking course. Students will learn to use hand and power tools to shape a pair of oars in the 6-8′ range, appropriate for a small skiff. Layout, tool use, and sanding to a fine finish will all be covered. Leathering the looms and oil finishing may also be included if time allows. Each student will leave with a pair of oars, just in time for the summer boating season.

- Class tuition: $450
- The class will begin at 8:30am and end at 4:30pm each day.
- Please bring your own lunch.
- Full payment is due upon enrollment.
